B&W Tek is an advanced instrumentation company producing high performance portable and handheld Raman systems.  We provide Raman solutions for the pharmaceutical, biomedical, physical, chemical, and research communities.  Since our establishment in 1997, B&W Tek has grown into an industry leading, total solution provider by coupling our core technologies with custom design and manufacturing capabilities. We are the worldwide leader in Raman systems manufacturing, with over 10,000 spectrometers shipped.

With a variety of extensive product families, we’re able to take an assortment of ready-to-use, off-the-shelf products and put them together to form a complete setup. There are hundreds of possible options by combining any variety of our lasers, spectrometers, accessories, and even software packages - all of which are designed and built by our own staff.

In the pharmaceutical industry in particular, we provide tools for the entire production chain, including incoming raw material inspection, online or at-line monitoring, and final tablet quality control. B&W Tek’s mobile spectroscopy solutions provide point of need measurements for actionable results.

The newest addition to B&W Tek’s pharmaceutical product line is the all-new QTRam® portable Raman system for content and blend uniformity. The QTRam, powered by B&W Tek’s STRaman® technology, is a new generation of transmission Raman spectroscopy able to penetrate through solid samples over a large sample volume for rapid, nondestructive pharmaceutical testing. It is ideal for blend and content uniformity testing of finished products such as tablets and capsules. The QTRam features an inbuilt tablet computer with 21CFR Part 11 compliant software and a portable form factor allowing for analysis at-line or in the lab.

B&W Tek’s pharmaceutical offering includes the NanoRam® handheld Raman spectrometer and NanoLIBS® handheld LIBS spectrometer for incoming raw material inspection, helping customers achieve 100% incoming inspection. B&W Tek’s also employs the patented STRaman® technology that gives users the ability to see through opaque packaging as well as 1064nm wavelength technology that reduces fluorescence and provides users the ability to conduct Raman analysis on materials that were difficult to analyze with traditional Raman technology.

B&W Tek provides customers with solutions that are easy and ready to use and include all the necessary software, accessories, and services. Our innovation and flexibility set us apart, which is evident from the prestigious awards we have received for our technology in the past few years, including the R&D 100 and CPhI Excellence awards for our NanoLIBS™ and the Pittcon Excellence award for our STRaman™ technology. These unique technologies allow our users to do analysis that was previously not possible with conventional technology.
