CPhI Korea – hosted by UBM EMEA and co-organised with the UBM Korea Corporation and Korea Pharmaceutical Traders Association (KPTA) – is set to return to Seoul on the 28th-30th August 2018 for its fifth year in a row. The trade show is experiencing a huge surge in interest; with over 5,000 pharma professionals from 50 different countries envisaged to converge at the COEX centre during the three-day event.

According to KPTA, the export of domestic finished products is experiencing strong growth with total volume of USD 2.6 billion in 2017. Furthermore, the export of domestic APIs is showing steady growth with total volume of USD 1.5 billion in 2017.

The flourishing South Korean pharma economy, combined with South Korea’s notoriously innovative pharma industry – the country recently topped the Bloomberg Innovation Index – trigger the interest from overseas audiences looking to further their business prospects in South Korean pharma.

CPhI Korea 2018 will provide networking opportunities between exhibitors and buyers through a Hosted Buyer Programme and an online matchmaking service will help exhibitors and visitors find the right partners pre-show to make the most of their time onsite.

The enhanced networking opportunities earned favorable reviews from both exhibitors and buyers in the 2017 edition. Pham Hong Viet, CEO of Asia-Shine Vietnam, CPhI Korea attendee in 2017, said: “CPhI Korea is the best business platform to meet Korean pharmaceutical manufacturers, and I would definitely recommend to colleagues and buyers.”

CPhI Korea Conference and Exhibitor Showcases will also be back to help attendees get a better understanding of the market and its complexities. Topics in the Conference will include: The US generic & biosimilar regulatory approval process, Changes & Trends in the European market, The Nutrition & Health Claims Regulation in the EU, and many more.
