Sandoz’s facility supports increased production capacity of finished dosage form (FDF) penicillin, the most widely used class of antibiotics worldwide, in Europe. It helps to better serve patients with critical antibiotics in more than 100 countries.

The facility was developed with a multimillion-dollar investment to significantly improve Piramal’s primary and secondary screening capabilities for compounds developed at the facility. The expansion integrated the facility’s existing chemistry capabilities with biology services.

Selkirk Pharma’s facility, which has received aseptic process simulation certification, will significantly increase the capacity for commercial and clinical trial drug manufacturing. It is the first of three buildings planned for Selkirk’s campus at the Pacific Northwest Technology Park.
