Internet of things hiring levels in the pharma dropped in October 2022
The proportion of pharmaceutical companies hiring for cloud related positions rose to a year-high in August 2021, with 42.7% of the companies included in our analysis recruiting for at least one such position.
Of the companies included in GlobalData's analysis, 14.3% were recruiting for at least one Internet of Things-related position.

The proportion of pharmaceutical companies hiring for internet of things related positions dropped in October 2022 compared with the equivalent month last year, with 14.3% of the companies included in our analysis recruiting for at least one such position.
This latest figure was lower than the 17.3% of companies who were hiring for internet of things related jobs a year ago but an increase compared to the figure of 12.4% in September 2022.
When it came to the rate of all job openings that were linked to internet of things, related job postings kept steady in October 2022 from September 2022, with 0.3% of newly posted job advertisements being linked to the topic.
This latest figure was the lowest monthly figure recorded in the past year and is the same as the 0.3% of newly advertised jobs that were linked to internet of things in the equivalent month a year ago.
